Rooftop decks over the San Francisco skyline

A penthouse level that opens to the city on three sides.

The project

What we built in San Francisco.

Composite decking runs the length of the roof, frameless glass railings keep the skyline in view, a folding glass wall opens the penthouse under a steel pergola, and a spa sits right in the deck. The city is the fourth wall.

Rooftop work in San Francisco is as much engineering and paperwork as carpentry: waterproofing, wind loads and the city's neighbor-notice process all come before the first board goes down. That is design-build weather, and it is where a fixed price in writing earns its keep.
