San Carlos · New Home Construction
A hillside custom home in San Carlos
Ground-up new construction on a sloped lot, from the poured driveway to the covered deck over the valley.
The project
What we built in San Carlos.
The lot falls away from the street, so the house was designed to step with it: a poured driveway climbing past terraced planting, a stair with a glass balustrade up to the entry, and deep eaves with a cedar soffit that carry through to the covered deck. Inside, the kitchen, dining and living room share one open floor behind a wall of glass.
Outside is where this house spends its time. A covered deck with a cedar ceiling runs along the view side, a second deck holds the spa behind a rendered privacy wall, and the garage below the house has an epoxy floor and a full-width door. Every photograph on this page is this one house.
