Ground-up new construction on a sloped lot, from the poured driveway to the glowing eaves.
The project
What we built in Los Gatos.
The lot fell away from the street, so the house was designed to step with it: a poured driveway climbing between terraced planting, a glass-railed stair to the entry, deep eaves with cedar soffits, and a deck cantilevered over the slope to take in the valley. At night the path lighting and the lit eaves do the talking.
This is what our new home construction looks like in practice: one agreement from lot review to keys, engineering that respects the hillside, and outdoor rooms built to be used, including a sunken spa set into the composite deck behind a rendered privacy wall.
